Do you protect and cleanse your energy?
Do you ever start the day feeling fine but, by the evening, you’re heavy, anxious, or completely drained — without really knowing why?
Often it’s not just physical tiredness. Your energy can be drained by so many things: other people’s moods and worries, crowded places, endless scrolling on social media, the constant stream of news and dramatic headlines, even the shows or music you consume. All of it leaves an imprint on your field.
I began to notice it in my own life. I could leave a busy café or even a dinner with people I loved and come home feeling like a flat balloon. My field was wide open, taking on everything around me — stress, emotions, tension, even the things no one said out loud.
And tell me — have you ever walked into a room and suddenly felt heavy, anxious, or overwhelmed for no clear reason?
That’s not your imagination. Your body and nervous system are sensing something in the environment around you.
The Pattern I Didn’t See
I used to believe being kind meant being available for everyone. That being loving meant always saying yes. That holding space meant taking it all on.
But I started to notice the difference. Some encounters left me inspired and expanded, while others left me dull, restless, or quietly depleted.
I realised not everyone feeds your energy — Some interactions leave us feeling nourished and connected, while others can leave the nervous system depleted or overwhelmed. And if you’re not aware, you end up carrying their weight as if it’s your own.
Things That Drain Your Energy
When we talk about protecting our energy, most people think of “toxic” people first.
But it’s so much more than that.
Your energy can be drained by:
– The accounts you follow on social media
– The conversations you engage in
– The news you read, the shows you watch
– The music you listen to
– The environments you stay in out of obligation
And half the time, we’re not even aware it’s happening.
So here’s a little soul task for you this week:
✨ Clean up your digital space
If someone’s content triggers you, drains you, or just doesn’t feel good to you — why are you still following them?
Your attention is precious. I personally only follow people and pages that uplift me, expand me, or inspire me to grow. If it doesn’t give you energy, it doesn’t belong in your field.

✨ Observe how people make you feel
Start paying attention to how you feel after spending time with someone. Lighter or heavier? More connected or more confused?
Are you spending time with this person because it feels good — or because you feel guilty, obligated, or “it’s just been so long”?
Write it down. Take inventory. Your body always tells the truth.
✨ Be intentional with what you consume
News, violent shows, horror movies, dark music — these things all carry a frequency.
Your nervous system feels it, whether you realise it or not.
Personally, I don’t watch the news or scary movies — not because I’m naive, but because I know how deeply it affects my energy. Your brain doesn’t fully separate “real” from “fake” when it comes to emotional experiences.
Choose what nourishes your mind, not just what entertains it.
✨ Own your NO
You don’t owe anyone your energy. You’re allowed to cancel plans, to rest, to not reply right away. Energetic boundaries aren’t rude — they’re responsible.
Pause before you answer. Check in with your body and intuition. Sleep on it.
✨ Cleanse after interactions
Especially after emotional or intense conversations, big crowds, or overwhelming spaces.
I love cleansing through nature — walking barefoot, jumping in the sea, feeling the wind, or just sitting in silence.
I also use sage to cleanse my field and my space. An intentional shower. A bath. A few minutes of stillness.
Find what works for you — but cleanse often, not just when things feel off.
Energy Hygiene
Over time, these little practices became my “energetic hygiene” — as natural as brushing my teeth.
I take conscious showers imagining the water rinsing away what’s heavy.
I walk in nature to anchor myself.
I shake, dance, or sing to release what clings to me.
I sit in silence to call my energy back.
It’s not about fear. It’s about remembering your energy is sacred — and not everyone or everything deserves unlimited access to it.

Choosing What Elevates You
Protecting your energy isn’t selfish. It’s an act of love — for yourself and for those around you. Because when your field is clear, you have more to give, more presence to offer, more joy to share.
It’s about saying no without guilt and yes with your whole heart.
It’s about choosing what inspires you instead of what drains you.
It’s about living from clarity rather than confusion.
And the more you practice, the more you feel it:
✨ You’re lighter.
✨ You’re clearer.
✨ You’re free.
Because your energy isn’t just something to manage.
It’s something to honor.
It’s sacred.
💫 I’d love to know — do you notice when your energy gets drained? And do you have your own rituals to come back to yourself?
